Metallurgical technology breakthrough....
A perfect orthodontic wire for your nickel-sensitive patients.

Trident CNA Beta III composition
  • 79% Titanium
  • 11% Molybdenum
  • 6% Zirconium
  • 4% Tin

Provides a moderate stiffness (approximately 42% of stainless steel), this wire can be deflected 100% more than stainless steel with no permanent deformation.

Trident CNA Beta III wire is perfect for stops and auxiliary loops.

Properties:

  • Safe for nickel sensitive patients.
  • Low modulus of elasticity.
  • High springback and flexibility.
  • Low force-deflection rate.
  • Moderate stiffness.
  • Good corrosion resistance.
  • Excellent formability
  • Weldable.
  • Smooth polished surface.

Clinical applications:

  • Moderate stiffness for root corrections
  • Formability allows for intricate loop designs.
  • Ductility allows for placement of tie-backs.
  • Smaller increments of force loss during deactivation compared to Stainless Steel
  • Spring-back is not lost by bending.
  • Able to fill bracket slots earlier and correct torque.
  • Overcorrection is possible by placing bends.
  • Allows for larger activations.
  • Gentle force delivery with larger archwire sizes.

The innovative Connecticut Intrusion Arch (CTA), developed by Dr. Ravindra Nanda, safely accomplishes the following:

  • Absolute intrusion of anterior teeth
  • Molar tip-back
  • Incisor flaring
  • Leveling anterior occlusal cants
  • Class II molar correction
  • “Preparing” molar anchorage
  • Correction of minor open-bites

Finishing
The Connecticut Intrusion Arch is made of nickel titanium and as a result, takes advantage of Niti’s unique memory and force properties. Available in two maxillary and two mandibular forms, each offered in two wire sizes. This appliance may be used with any prescription on the adult or mixed dentition and in both cases will provide light, continuous force distributions.

The Connecticut Intrusion Arch’s versatility, simple installation and minimal hardware requirements combine to make it a powerful new tool in orthodontic treatment.

Graduated forces throughout the arch!

These 'Special' Multi-Modulus archwires offer heat-activated, lower forces throughout the arch to meet today’s desire for ‘lower’ force tooth movement.

Three (3) heat-activated force levels in one archwire.

  • The anterior region has the lowest heat-activated force level, as the anterior teeth have the lightest roots.
  • The force level increases through the bicuspid region, having a slightly greater heat-activated force level to move the larger rooted bicuspids.
  • The posterior region has the greatest heat-activated force level of the archwire, for moving the strong-rooted molars.
